About the Author/Illustrator
Joel A. Sutherland is a mild-mannered children's and youth services librarian by day, and a speculative fiction writer and editor by night. He has written four collections in the Haunted Canada series, Summer's End, a middle-grade horror novel, and The House Next Door and Kill Screen, part of the middle-grade horror series Haunted. His greatest professional satisfaction is getting the right books into the right little hands. He lives in Courtice, Ontario, Canada with his wife, and three children, a golden doodle and a mountain of books.
