Matthew est toujours en train de dessiner : des couchers de soleil vibrants, des dinosaures violets, des ciels verts et même des oiseaux jaunes! Matthew’s parents think he should be on sports teams: basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball. Sports are important, they say - they teach teamwork. Matthew just wants to draw pictures. Finally his mom picks him up, drives to the park and signs Matthew up for baseball. The coach gives him a big glove and puts him in right field. But each time a ball comes by Matthew completely ignores it. He is busy looking at stuff. Finally a ball lands directly in his glove. Matthew draws a picture on it and throws it back. The other players toss him another ball and he draws on it too. Soon all the baseballs have pictures on them and everyone is throwing them back and forth like crazy looking at the pictures. The coach is impressed with their skills and teamwork and asks Matthew if he would like a position on the team . . . as official artist!
